HUL appoints Arnab Goswami as brand ambassador for Dove soaps

Arnab Ranjan Goswami (born 7 March 1973) is an Indian journalist and television news anchor, who is the editor and majority owner of the news channel Republic TV. ... On Times Now, he anchored The Newshour, Spouse: Samyabrata Ray Goswami, Sunanda ...Born: 7 March 1973, Guwahati Nationality: India
Arnab Goswami as the brand ambassador for its soap brand Dove.Announcing the decision, HUL managing director Sanjiv Mehta said, “Arnab’s relentless usage of the Dove brand in his prime time debates and Twitter hashtags such as #ProPakDovesSilent has led to increased brand recall and curiosity. Our week on week sales of Dove beauty bar and related products have grown by as much as 10%. Considering that his rampage against the pro-Pak lobby in India is only getting warmed up, we decided to strike a formal deal with the nation’s voice.”
According to HUL sources, Arnab’s vociferous campaign has also resulted in the brand making inroads into an unlikely market segment in India’s western neighbour after deranged terrorist Hafiz Saeed came out in praise for these pro-Pak doves. “Terrorists and terror sympathizers in PoK and the Af-Pak border who had until now never bothered to take bath are now trying out Dove!” exclaimed Mehta.
Meanwhile, NDTV has banned ads of Dove on its channels. Star anchor Barkha Dutt took to Facebook for yet another rant. “I don’t give a toss as to what Arnab Goswami promotes. I don’t care. I DON’T CARE, OK?” she wrote, before retweeting another dozen anti-Arnab tweets, and penning a blog on ndtv.com titled, “Arnab Goswami, what you promote doesn’t scare me, but should worry India“.
